Sophisticated water management
The fog-basking beetle from the Namib desert uses an incredible technique to ensure that the fog that condenses on its back runs directly into its mouth. Sto has translated this high-performing drainage technique into a facade paint for the first time: StoColor Dryonic®. The microtexture of the surface is made up of an architecture of binder and extender, providing extremely fast water repellency. With this product, the facade has an environmentally friendly and long-term safeguard against algae and fungal attack.
Crowned test winner by Fraunhofer Institute
The Fraunhofer Institute for Structural Durability and System Reliability LBF tested five top facade paints with regard to their drying properties. The result: StoColor Dryonic® excelled with the fastest drying times. (Test report no. 132543.1)

Inspired by the fog-basking beetle, StoColor Dryonic® with its unique microtexture ensures exceptionally fast drying and environmentally friendly protection in any weather and in any climate zone. It can be used on all conventional substrates, including render, concrete, brick, metal facades, or plastic:

The “S” in StoColor Dryonic® S stands for SunBlock Technology. The vivid-shade version of the tried-and-tested, quick-drying facade paint StoColor Dryonic® features this technology. It protects against aggressive UV radiation and ensures that even strong colours retain their intensity for years to come – so there is no need to spend money on repainting.

StoColor Dryonic® Wood – protects wooden facades
Modern wood facades are attractive and on trend. They are, however, susceptible to algae and fungal attacks, particularly in humid areas. To solve this problem, we have developed StoColor Dryonic® Wood – a coating that keeps wood surfaces pristine and dry on a long-term basis thanks to its biomimetic funtional principle. The facade paint combines all the benefits of Dryonic® and SunBlock Technology. The paint features integrated X-black Technology which prevents the facade from heating up. And it provides an isolating effect against many wood constituents.
